Marvel Comics has revealed a variant cover for Black Widow & Hawkeye #1, which features Black Widow in her original costume. This is a fantastic work of art and was created by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau. The new limited series celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic duo.
Natasha Romanoff made her big Marvel Comics debut in the pages of Tales of Suspense #52. This new comic comes from the writer Stefania Phillips (Chaos race) and artist Paolo Villanelli (Captain Marvel: Dark Storm), and will give fans a fresh and action-packed current adventure for Black Widow and Hawkeye, and will also dive into their espionage and mysterious past. The description reads:
The eyes of a hawk and the poison of a widow! Even when Black Widow and Hawkeye had no one to trust, they continued to love each other, even if their paths sometimes diverged. So when Clint Barton is accused of a rogue assassination attempt that brings the United States and Madripoor into conflict, symbiote-equipped Natasha Romanoff thinks nothing of coming to her aid. But as the echoes of their past ripple into the present, it will take all of their trust in each other – and the lessons learned along the way – to protect their future.
Phillips previously shared, “I love having the chance to dig deep with Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton to tell a fast-paced spy story that celebrates their 60th anniversary. Nothing is as it seems, and I’m having a blast writing these characters. For not to mention they both look great for 60.”
