It has been revealed Reacher The third season will be based on Lee Child book Persuader, which is the seventh novel in the Jack Reacher series. This has also been confirmed Maria Sten (Swamp thing) will return for the third season and will reprise her role as Frances Neagley, alongside her Alan Ritchson.
In the story of the third season, Reacher He goes undercover to rescue an informant held captive by a disturbing enemy from his past. The book’s full description offers some additional information saying:

The third season of Reacher is currently filming in Toronto. The second season of the series has become Amazon’s biggest TV hit of 2023, and it looks like it will put Jack Reacher in a very different environment. During a previous interview with Ritchson, he talked about the direction of the character and story in the next chapter, and Ritchson teased a “new world” for his character. He said:
“I can’t say much about season three, but I will say that there are a lot of classic Reacher stories that are just adventures that he gets sucked into in a big way, and we get to enjoy Reacher in a new world. It might have nothing to do with family, with his past, he’s just having that adventure and that’s kind of the direction we’ve gone and it seems to really work.”
The first season of the series is based on the first novel in the Jack Reacher book series, The killing plan. Reacher is “a veteran military police investigator just entering civilian life. When he arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, he finds a community grappling with its first murder in 20 years. Reacher is falsely accused of murder and as he works to prove his innocence, a deep-rooted conspiracy begins to emerge.
