Jemaine Clement and Kate McKinnon join Jason Momoa in the WB’s MINECRAFT

Kate McKinnon (SNL, Ghostbusters) AND Jemaine Clement (The Flight of the Concordes) have joined Warner Bros.’ impressive cast.’ Minecraft movie.

The film is directed by Jared Hesse (Napoleonic dynamite), and the rest of the cast includes Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, Sebastian Eugene Hansen as well as Jennifer Coolidge.

The film will be shot in New Zealand and looks like it will be released in 2025. There are no current details to share regarding the story, but there are so many different directions the creative team could take the story. I think it’s safe to say that whichever way they go, the film will tell an adventurous story.

Years ago, when the film was first announced, it was said that the film would follow “a teenage girl and her unlikely band of adventurers. After the evil Ender Dragon sets out on a path of destruction, they must save their beautiful, stranded Overworld.

However, it has been so long since the details of the story were shared that the story could have changed.
