SHE-HULK Star Tatiana Maslany on Season 2 – “Disney, She Said ‘No Thanks'”

It looks like we won’t be getting a second season of She-Hulk: Lawyer Marvel after all. It was previously said that the second season would enter development after the writers’ strike, but according to the star Tatiana Maslanythe series will not continue.

During a recent appearance on the NerdIncorrect live stream on Twitch, Maslany was asked if the Marvel show would have a second season and this was his response:

“I don’t think so. I think we wasted our budget and Disney said ‘no thanks.'”

Judging by this response, Maslany is pretty confident that She-Hulk won’t continue. The news comes after it was reported that Disney CEO Bob Iger he was “apoplectic” over widespread major visual effects problems with Marvel when he returned to take care of Disney. It was also reported that She-Hulk’s visual effects problems were a “symptom of a deeper rot, namely a lack of oversight over script development.” Such scripts have been described as “half-baked”.

Regarding Maslany’s comment of going over budget, it was also revealed that a single episode of She-Hulk it cost $25 million to produce.

Rick and Morty‘S Jessica Gao created the show, and when she previously talked about a possible season 2, she said, “I feel like this must be what it feels like for people who have had kids. This is how my favorite kids describe when they have their first baby and then everyone says, are you going to have another child? And they say, I literally just gave birth. I’m in labor. I just gave birth. I’m still on a hospital bed. Give me a second. And that’s it how I feel now.”

It looks like Gao might not get the opportunity to make a second season, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
