New GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE images feature the old and new Ghostbusters teams, and Janine finally fits in!

We have two new images to share with you for Sony Pictures’ Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire to share with you today! These are the covers of Empire Magazine and one features the new Ghostbusters team, while the other features the old one.

The new crew is made up of Carrie Coon as Callie Spengler, Finn Wolfhard AND McKenna Gracethe kids Trevor and Phoebe Spengler, and Paul RuddIt’s Gary Grooberson.

The old crew is present Bill MurrayIt’s Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroydit’s Ray Stantz, and Ernie HudsonIt’s Winston Zeddemore, all dressed up. But there’s also the surprising addition of Annie Potts who’s back as Janine Melnitz, and she’s also dressed up and ready to capture some ghosts! This is really strong!

I hope the cast from the original film has a bigger role in this sequel than they did in the film Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

In the story, New York City finds itself frozen by an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! Plus, the original Ghostbusters return! Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, AND Ernie Hudson we are all back for the new adventure! The synopsis reads:

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all began, the iconic New York firehouse, to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who have developed a top-secret research laboratory to bring ghost eradication to a higher level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, the Old and Old Ghostbusters must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed by Gil Kenanfrom a screenplay he collaborated on Jason Reitmann who serves as the executive producer of the new film. The film is also the protagonist Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjianicomic James AcasterAND Emily Alyn Lind they joined the cast.

The film is scheduled for release on March 29, 2024.
