Paul Thomas Anderson (It will be Blood, Licorice Pizza) has started his next film project at Warner Bros. and has a stellar cast that will be led by Leonardo Dicaprio, Sean PennAND Queen’s Hall.
Anderson will direct the untitled film from a screenplay he wrote, and it will go into production this year in California. Plot details of the film are being kept under wraps, but the film has a “contemporary setting and is the most commercial PTA has ever attempted, with a commensurate budget.”
DiCaprio has been courted for many movie roles in the wake of The assassins of the Flower Moon, and this is the project he chose for his next film. It has to be a strong story, with an interesting character that he’s excited to play.
I like the type of films Anderson makes and it will be interesting to see what his most commercial film will be.
