Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain star in the chilling trailer for the thriller film MOTHERS’ INSTINCT

A new trailer for the thriller has been released Mothers’ instincthero Anne Hathaway AND Jessica Chastain like two friends in the 1960s who are wives, each with a child close in age. The story follows the devastating loss of a son following an accident and the unraveling that befalls both of them in the aftermath. Hathaway and Chastain join the cast of Josh Charles, Anders Danielsen LieAND Caroline Lagerfelt.

The film is directed by the French cinematographer Benoît Delhommemaking his directorial debut after working as director of photography in Lawless, The theory of everything, Minamata, and other. The screenplay is written by Sarah Conradt-Kroehleradapted from the novel written by Barbara Abel.

The full synopsis reads:

“Starring Oscar winners Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway, Mothers’ Instinct is a disturbing psychological thriller about two best friends and neighbors, Alice and Céline, whose perfect lives in 1960s suburbia are turned upside down by a tragic accident involving one of their children.”

It seems like a difficult film to watch. It truly is every parent’s worst nightmare and would be tough on all parties involved in the tragedy.
