A new report has emerged revealing three actresses who are in the running for the role of Supergirl James Gunnof the DCU. Those actresses include Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), Emilia Jones (Loke and key), AND Meg Donnelly (Disney Channel Zombie).
Alcock plays Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon. Jones also starred in Apple’s Best Picture Oscar-winning CODA. Then there’s Donnelly, who is also the voice of Supergirl in the DC animated films Legion of Superheroes and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part One.
The news comes from Deadline, which states: “There is a possibility that the studio could make a direct offer to a star, but all things point towards auditions for actresses, which will take place within the next month or so.”
It’s also explained that Supergirl will likely make her debut in the DCU Superman: Legacyor maybe even another DC movie before he gets his own solo movie.
