David Cronenberg is directing a new film called The Shrouds and the first photos have been released offering a small taste of what the visionary director is developing. The film is the protagonist Vincenzo Cassel AND Diana Krugerwho has already commented, The Shrouds “It could be his most personal film, because it’s about him and the disappearance of his wife. I knew it was so close to him and that’s why he was a little distant. I could feel him so vulnerable.
The photos show Cassel and Kruger together with the possible “device to connect with the dead inside a burial”. Cassel takes on the role of Karsh, the inventor of the device, and Kruger takes on multiple roles including Karsh’s wife, his wife’s sister, and “an avatar, a sort of personal assistant”.

“Karsh’s revolutionary activity is on the verge of entering the international mainstream when several graves in his cemetery are vandalized and nearly destroyed, including that of his wife. As he struggles to uncover a clear motive for the attack, the mystery of who caused this chaos, and why, will force Karsh to reevaluate his business, his marriage, and his fidelity to the memory of his late wife, as well as push him towards new you begin.
