‘NCIS’ Season 21: Premiere Date, Returning Cast & Latest Updates

The hit series is now part of the network’s Monday night schedule. NCIS will air before the new episodes of the spin-off series NCIS: Hawaii.

Will Mark Harmon Return to ‘NCIS’?

Right away, Marco Harmon return is not planned NCIS season 21. However, he remains the executive producer of the series. He directed Marcos NCIS as Leroy Jethro Gibbs for nearly two decades. Mark surprised fans by leaving the series after season 19. In a recent interview, the actor expressed his opinion on a possible return. “He’s probably sitting in a stream fishing in Alaska,” Mark said. ET online on Gibbs. “Will you come out of the stream? I do not know. But if it is, I don’t know.”

Folder He has openly expressed his desire to bring Gibbs back, but it will have to be the “right story.” He says TVInsider, “I think when we play, it has to be really right. And we work on a different timeline than other shows. Other programs are maybe a year or two old or they don’t know how long they will last. “We simply, rightly or wrongly, operate on a much longer time scale for these things than we do for other programs.”

In 2022, Mark spoke about his departure from the series and how he felt about saying goodbye to Gibbs. “From a story perspective, this character followed the path that he followed. I thought he was honest and acceptable,” he said in an interview for the season 19 DVD release.

The show will pay tribute to David in the second episode of season 21, which will air on February 19. television line, the episode will “deal with McCallum’s passing and serve as a tribute to his beloved character.” David’s co-star Brian will write the episode alongside the executive producer.
