WB Thailand has released a teaser trailer for an intriguing and cool-looking time-warp sci-fi film titled Genesis of Taklee. It sounds like it tells a fascinating and entertaining story that’s worth checking out!
In the film, during the Vietnam War, the US Army built a large communications station, claiming it to be a place to experiment with faster-than-light travel under the name Project Taklee Genesis.
Taklee Genesis “refers to a warp speed teleporter left over from the Cold War. An American military officer goes on a secret mission to investigate the matter and find the device, but gets stuck in another time warp. The film spans different time periods, from the prehistory of Ban Chiang, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to 100 years in the future.”
The film was written and directed by Ma-Deaw Chookiat Sakveerakul and becomes the protagonist Paola Taylor, Peter Corp Dyrendal, War-Wanarat Rasamerat, Natcha Nina Jessica Padowan, Phutharit Phrombanda, Sai-Indira Charoenpura, Nuchanpa SoidaraAND Nara Thepnupha.
Warner Bros. Thailand will debut the film in Thai theaters on May 1, 2024. There is no word on when it will be released in the United States.
