Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy on directing the ‘Star Wars’ movie: ‘It’s About Time’ A woman in the form of ‘a story set in a Galaxy Far, Far Away’

“I’ve always been drawn to the hero’s journey and the world definitely needs more heroes! – the blueprints of the heroes we see on screen are rooted in reality,” she posted on Instagram. “I’ve met real heroes throughout my life who have conquered the most oppressive empires and fought against impossible odds, and to me that’s the essence of it war of stars…that’s why I was drawn to the promise of a new Jedi Order…And that’s why I’m especially excited to immerse myself in a Jedi Academy with a powerful Jedi Master.”
