Vin Diesel responds to ex-assistant’s sexual assault allegations, calling them ‘outlandish’

We recently reported on that actor vin Diesel was sued by his former assistant, Asta Jonasson, who alleges he committed sexual assault against her, as well as “gender discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation and negligent supervision.” The charges filed allege that while she worked for the actor in Atlanta, where he was filming “Fast Five,” he took her to her suite at the St. Regis Hotel and forced her to lie down on her bed. The rest of the gory details can be found in our linked original article, or you can also read the lawsuit itself.

Yesterday Diesel and his representatives had not yet released a statement on the allegations, but now Bryan Freedman, Diesel’s lawyer, has released a statement on behalf of the actor, denying the allegations.

“Let me be very clear: Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety,” Freedman said. “This is the first time he has heard of this 13+ year old claim made by an alleged 9-day employee. There is clear evidence that completely refutes these outlandish accusations.”

I hope that the truth prevails, whatever it may be, and that Jonasson finds peace. We will let you know if further news develops on this story.
