The Masked Singer Season 10 has arrived at Donut and Cow, with Cow emerging as the new champion. The donut has been exposed as The Dukes of Hazzard alum Juan Schneider. During the final event on December 20, John impressed with a heartfelt and emotional performance of Joe Cocker “You are so cute.” Hollywood life spoke exclusively to John about honoring his late wife Alicia Allain during his journey on the show.
“I think people responded very well to Donut, to the music. “I feel honored to be able to sing the songs I sang on the show and be the role model – or the Donut – for people who are grieving,” the 63-year-old said. “It’s definitely not something I’ve always wanted. Look, if you have an opportunity, no matter how depressed you may seem, you should take advantage of it and turn it into a benefit for other people who are suffering. I think The Masked Singer and all the people on the show, the producers and I couldn’t hope or wish for anything to get better. This was the perfect moment. “This was a perfect opportunity.”
John admitted that he was afraid to sing “You Are So Beautiful” until he got on stage to sing it. “I was scared of that song until I sang it and something opened up in me,” he revealed. “I’m a believer. I’m a Christian and I believe that somehow God saw me singing that song and made it so that I could make it my own. And I believe that. I love that song and now I think it’s mine. “I’m excited about sing this song in the future. I know Alicia was looking down and said, ‘Pass, honey.'”

OH small towns The former student said he felt “very honored” to be able to sing that song for his late wife. “I think for me, as a singer who just released his 26th album, that was my shining moment,” he said.
John lost his wife Alicia in February 2023 after a 4-year battle with breast cancer. The actor and singer talked about how The Masked Singer has helped him heal as he continues to mourn his tragic loss.

“When you suffer, you hide, isolate yourself or suffer publicly,” he said. “There is healing in knowing that your pain is affecting other people in a positive way. There is a way to use your extreme pain for the greater good. Personally, I believe God is involved in this. How is it that God isn’t involved in taking something so bad and turning it into something good?”
And he continued: “The Bible says, ‘Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.’ I’ll tell you why. From The Masked Singer, the people behind the scenes, the few people who knew it was me, and seeing the judges’ response was very healing and comforting for me. This helped me a lot in my grieving process. Pain is something that doesn’t go away. It’s something we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. We get stronger, but we get even stronger when we talk to other people. “This was a great opportunity for me.” The Masked Singer will return for season 11 in spring 2024.
