The brand new trailer for THE COLOR PURPLE musical features new footage and songs for fans

A new trailer for the musical film has been released The color purplebased on the 1982 novel by Alice Walker and the musical theater show. Steven Spielberg he directed the original film adaptation in 1985, in which he starred Oprah Winfrey. Both Spielberg and Winfrey are executive producers on this new project, directed by Blitz Bazawule (Black is king, Kojo’s burial).

The musical drama takes center stage Taraji P. Henson as Shrug Avery, Danielle Brooks like Sofia, Colman Domingo as Lord, Corey Hawkins like Harpo, HIS like Squeak, Halle Bailey as young Nettie, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor like mom, Louis Gossett Jr. as Mr Johnson, David Alan Grier like Rev. Samuel, Deon Cole like Alfonso, Tamela J. Mann in the role of First Lady, Jon Batista as Grady, Stephen Hill as Buster, Elisabetta Meraviglia like Miss Millie, and Barrino fantasy as Celie in her film debut.

The film focuses on the extraordinary sisterhood of three women who share an unbreakable bond. It follows Celie and other African American women in the American South in the 1930s and their struggles with racism and life in the lower social class. Celie also struggles to find her identity after suffering abuse from various men in her life over the years.
