Russell Crowe, Rami MalekAND Michael Shannonthey will be the protagonists of a Nazi historical drama entitled Nuremberg. The film will be written and directed by James Vanderbiltwhich he previously wrote and produced Zodiac. He also directed the film Truth.
The film is based on the book “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist” by Jack El-Hai. The film will follow Malek “as an American psychiatrist tasked with determining whether Nazi prisoners are fit to stand trial for their war crimes. He finds himself in a battle of wits with Hitler’s right-hand man, played by Crowe. Shannon will play Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, the lead prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials.
Vanderbilt said in a statement: “What an absolute honor it is to work with such an extraordinarily talented group of actors. Our partners at Bluestone and Walden have been incredibly supportive and I can’t wait to bring this extraordinary true story to the screen.”
There is a lot of talent attached to this film and production will begin in February in Hungary.
