Ryan Reynolds Talks DEADPOOL 3 Set of Photo Leaks and Spoilers

Since Deadpool 3 is back in production, photos from the set have spread online and revealed some details about the film. When we share these images, we make sure to offer a spoiler warning before moving on to the photos and discussing the details. But if you use X or TikTok or any other social media platform, there are no spoiler warnings. You might be harmlessly scrolling through your feed when suddenly one of these photos appears.

WELL, Deadpool 3 star Ryan Reynolds took to social media to address these photos and spoilers that have spread, saying:

“Surprises are part of the magic of cinema films. It is important for us to shoot the new film DEADPOOL in real and natural environments, using practical effects instead of shooting the film indoors and digitally. Telephoto lenses continue to ruin surprises and create situations difficult situation for everyone.

“We hope that some websites and social channels will hold back from showing the images before they are ready. The film is constructed for the delight of the audience – and our greatest hope is to preserve as much magic as possible for the finished film and on the big screen .” Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they’re excited. I realize that these are not real world problems and are firmly in the “good problem” category.

“I love making this movie.”

It’s definitely exciting to see these images that tease what this film will offer! Photographers won’t stop taking these photos, though, and people on social media won’t stop sharing them. It’s just the nature of the beast and this has been the case ever since movie websites started popping up on the internet.

I don’t mean to downplay what Reynolds is saying because he’s politely asking people to help him preserve the magic of cinema, but, unfortunately, the reality is that people won’t stop taking these photos and fans won’t stop sharing them. It just is what it is. Even if we stop publishing them, lots of other people will continue to do so.
