Apple TV+’s Epic Sci-Fi Saga FOUNDATION has been renewed for season 3

Apple TV+ has renewed its epic science fiction saga Foundation for a third season. The series is based on Isaac Asimov’s book series, and it was a great series that I enjoyed watching. The story tells the epic saga of the Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to challenge it.

The series comes from the showrunner and executive producer David Goyer, who shared in a statement: “I’m thrilled that Apple has given us the opportunity to continue telling Asimov’s groundbreaking galactic saga. This time, the stakes for Foundation and Empire are even higher as the Mule takes center stage, alongside fan favorites Bayta, Toran, Ebling and Magnificent Giganticus.

Matt Chernisshead of programming for Apple TV+, added: “We were all incredibly impressed with the ambitious, action-packed and imaginative adaptation that David and the rest of this talented creative team and cast have brought to life with this premium science fiction series from day one. Seeing “Foundation” become such a global hit has been more than inspiring, with audiences around the world continuing to be captivated week after week by this dramatic and gripping journey to save humanity. We can’t wait for everyone to experience what’s in store for characters new and old in Season 3.”

In the first season: “When Dr. Hari Seldon (Jared Harris) predicts the imminent fall of the Empire, he and a band of loyal followers venture to the far reaches of the galaxy to found the Foundation in an effort to rebuild and preserve the future of civilization. Enraged by Hari’s claims, the ruling Cleons (Lee Pace) – a long line of clone emperors – fear that their unrivaled kingdom may weaken as they are forced to reckon with the potential reality of losing their powerful legacy forever.

In Season 2: “Tension builds across the galaxy. As the Cleons clash, a vengeful queen plots to destroy the Empire from within. Hari, Gaal and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter Psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with the Empire. The monumental adaptation of “Foundation” tells the stories of four pivotal individuals who transcend space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.”

Foundation even stars Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann, Isabella Laughland, Kulvinder Ghir, Ella-Rae Smith, Holt McCallany, Rachel House, Nimrat Kaur, Ben Daniels AND Dimitri Leonidas.

Have you been watching? Foundation? If so, are you happy we’re getting a third season?
