Paul Giamatti says he would love to work with Rian Johnson and join the cast of KNIVES OUT 3

Oscar nominated actor Paolo Giamatti (From the side, Cinderella’s man, Billions) threw his hat into the ring to be chosen as director Ryan Johnsonit’s the next episode of Knives out, a Benoit Blanc mystery. This isn’t out of the question, considering the first two films had an incredible cast that I could see Giamatti fitting in perfectly.

Speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via ComicBook), Giamatti talked about his love for the mystery genre, which has become popular again in recent years.

“There’s been this great revival of films like Agatha Christie, but also of living room murders. I love stuff like that and I think it’s great that people are making stuff like that again – like Knives Out and all the Agatha Christie stuff. And I have a feeling that kids these days are digging that stuff. [Laughs] … Knives Out 3… I would love to do something like that. It would be fun to play a detective like that – or just anyone in that movie. That kind of world I love, that whole thing.

I could totally see his offer leading to a role in the next movie, if word got back to Rian Johnson. I can’t wait to see who else ends up in the cast too. Who would you like to see Knives out 3?
