Zack Snyder’S Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire it is the first of the two Rebel moon films that Netflix will distribute. The film follows a young woman named Kora (Sofia Boutella) who brings together a team of warriors to help her fight against a giant, evil empire that is threatening her peaceful planet.
During a recent interview with GamesRadar, Snyder offered a small tease about the ending of the first film by saying that it will end on a cliffhanger. He said:
“The truth is, the first movie is a setup for the second movie. The ending is a crazy cliffhanger that throws you into The Scargiver.”
We just have to wait a few months before Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver It will be released. Speaking about the two films, the director explained how they will have different tones:
“Tonally, they’re very different films. In the first part we spend a lot of time in the village, having this real relationship with the place and the people. So when we have to fight and die for them, we care about them.” .”
When we were talking previously The Scarifier title and how the sequel will be different from the first film, the director went on to say:
“[Kora’s] the nickname is Scargiver, which is also related to his relationship with Princess Issa. I think these two myths are woven together in a pretty interesting way. The second film is really a war film. In the beginning they harvest crops and we have a lot of stuff in the village, sort of the “Why We Fight” aspect of the film. We have time for relationships. Then the next thing is the big battle. It’s really funny.”
In the story, a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them make a stand against the Tyrant.
This is a two-part film and each part will have an R-rated edition for fans to watch as well. Movie stars Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Anthony Hopkins, AND Alfonso Herrera.
Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire will arrive on Netflix on December 22 after a limited theatrical release. Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver will arrive in April 2024.
