Here’s a new trailer for LaKeith Stanfieldthe next movie, The Book of Clarence. This biblical epic is written and directed by the brilliant Jeymes Samuel, the director behind the acclaimed film The harder they fall.
The Book of Clarence is described as a “bold new interpretation of the timeless epic of the biblical era.” In the film, “Dumb but down on his luck, Clarence is struggling to find a better life for his family, while he struggles to free himself from debt. Fascinated by the power and glory of the rising Messiah and his apostles, he risks everything to chart his own path to a godly life, and ultimately discovers that the redemptive power of faith may be his only way out. The film features new music from Jeymes Samuel, JAY-Z and more.
Joining LaKeith Stanfield in this cast are RJ Cyler, Omar Sy, Anna Diop, David Oyelowo, Michele Ward, Alfredo Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, James McAvoyAND Benedict Cumberbatch. The Book of Clarence will be released in theaters on January 12, 2024.
