The funny anthology comedy series Miracle workers was canceled by TBS after four seasons. This has been a super fun show to watch and I’m really sad that we won’t get a crazy new story, but the show has to end eventually.
It was reported earlier this year that season 4 could very well be the final season. TBS had no more options on the cast, which was led by Daniel Radcliffe AND Steve Buscemi. So if there was another season, they would have to make new deals with the actors and TBS obviously had no intention of doing that.
It’s explained that the creative team had an idea for a potential fifth season that Radcliffe was excited about, but now we won’t see what it would have been.
The fourth season of the series is set in a post-apocalyptic future filled with radioactive mutants, killer robots, and a tyrannical homeowners’ association with outrageous annual dues. In the story, “a warrior of the wastelands (Radcliffe) and a ruthless warlord (Geraldine Viswanathan) had to face the most dystopian nightmare of all: settling in the suburbs. Together they navigated the existential horrors of married life and provincial life, all under the dubious guidance of a wealthy junk dealer (Buscemi). Bass also played the couple’s loyal war dog, and Soni that of a kill-bot who loved to party.
Miracle workers was created by Simone Ricco and produced by Lorne Michaels. Dan Mirk AND Roberto Padnick served as showrunner.
