Mads Mikkelsen in the running to play Doctor Doom in Marvel’s FANTASTIC FOUR

Mads Mikkelsen in the running to play Doctor Doom in Marvel’s FANTASTIC FOUR

Obviously, Mads Mikkelsen is in the running to play the role of Doctor Doom in Marvel Fantastic Four! This is a villain role he would be great in! But there’s always the strange fact that he also played the villain Kaecilius in Doctor Strange.

This recent report comes from John Campea, who says that Mikkelsen is one of many actors being drawn to the role, so it’s not a certainty. But if he were ultimately chosen, I doubt anyone would complain. Campea said:

“What [his source] it was confirmed to me [Marvel] spoke to Mads Mikkelsen [about] Destiny. Now, to be clear, I’m sure they talked to a dozen people. They didn’t tell me that Mads Mikkelsen was cast as Doom. At all. But they were able to confirm to me that Mads Mikkelsen is one of the people they spoke to for Doom.”

Even though Mikkelsen is great, I don’t understand why Marvel is trying to cast actors who have already played characters in their films. Before Pedro Pasquale was cast as Reed Richards in the film, they were looking at the casting Jake Gyllenhaal in the role, and played Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Then there was also Gemma Chan, who played both Minn and Erva Captain Marvel and Sersi inside Eternals.

There was reportedly talk that Marvel was looking to replace Kang The Conqueror with Doctor Doom, but even if that doesn’t happen, Doom will be one of the many big bad villains in the MCU, and I hope he wreaks havoc. !

Other alleged members include Venessa Kirby (Napoleon) as Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman, along with Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) in the role of Johnny Storm alias The Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The bear) in the role of Ben Grimm aka the Thing, Javier Bardem AND Antonio Banderas they are also ready for Galactus.

Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedmanwho was brought in to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.

Being a project in Phase Six of the MCU, Fantastic Four is scheduled for release on May 2, 2025.
