Amazon MGM Studios begins talks for Masters Of The Universe film after Netflix halts development

Amazon MGM Studios is aiming for a live action Master of the Universe film based on Mattel’s popular ’80s toys, Deadline can confirm. In very early discussions, plans were made to move the project to Netflix’s streamer, where it fell through over the summer.

Presumably they will continue the project, Adam and Aaron Nee (The Lost City), the writers and directors who worked on it for Netflix. Then there was Kyle Allen, who was up to the lead role of Prince Adam, aka He-Man. One of the producers is Todd Black.

Master of the Universe It centers on the orphan Adam, who discovers that he is a prince destined to save a distant land from the threat of the evil wizard Skeletor. The IP address was recently discovered for three animated series: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Masters of the Universe: Revelation And He-Man and the Lord of the Universe – both were for Netflix.
