Disney has released the first teaser trailer for Inside out 2 and while the emotional characters we met in the first film are comfortable and settled, their entire world is turned upside down with the introduction of a new emotion… Anxiety.
The first film of 2015 In reverse was a coming-of-age film focusing on eleven-year-old Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) and the five emotions in his brain which included Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Fear (Tony Hale) and anger (Lewis Black).
The exhausted, orange character of Ansia is voiced by Maya Hawke, and enters the story as Riley enters her teenage years. Director Kelsey Mann says Anxiety “may be new to the crew, but he’s not really the type to fade into the background. This makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on in our minds.”
Inside out 2 will be released in theaters on June 14, 2024. Watch the trailer!
