We have some good news for fans of Enola Holmes mystery film series, the sequel Enola Holmes 3 is in development on Netflix! Sherlock’s crime-solving sister Enola will return to action, played by a returning star Millie Bobby Brownwho began his career at Netflix starring in the hit series Stranger things.
Netflix Film chief Scott Stuber recently attended the grand reopening of the American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood and revealed the news regarding Enola Holmes 3 to Collider, and also talked about Millie Bobby Brown, saying:
“You know, she’s a really great homegrown star for us. I mean, obviously, Stranger Things is huge for us in that, and seeing her grow as an actress. We have a movie called Damsel with her in the spring, which I think I’m really excited about, [from] Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. So, playing that character well. Holmes’ IP is strangely elastic. Obviously, Warner Bros. has done an incredible job with Downey and Jude Law, so the idea of being able to extend that IP with her is exciting. So we are once again working on a script to try to achieve this. But yes, aspiration. I’d like to do another one.”
There are so many great stories to tell and mysteries to solve in the world of Holmes, so it will be exciting to see where the next film takes him. Enola Holmes AND Enola Holmes 2 are now available to stream on Netflix.
