dancing with the Stars is bringing back old vibes with Music Video Night. The big one Paul Abdul serves as a guest judge during the Nov. 7 episode. The remaining couples will each dance with their partners before splitting into two groups for team dances.
Lele Pons AND Brandon Armstrong Start your music video night with a sexy salsa for Shakira “Anywhere, anytime.” Derek Hough He tells Lele that he “got it” with Shakira’s dance part, but advises her to be a little more gentle when entering and exiting elevators and during maneuvers. Paula calls the performance “evilly seductive,” but she agrees with Derek that Lele is lighter. Carrie Ann Inaba he stands up and declares that this is the dance he’s been waiting to see from Lele all season. Lele and Brandon’s scores: CarrieAnn = 9; Derek = 8; Paola = 8; and Bruno = 8. Ariana Madix AND Pasha Pashkov Wow, with your sizzling cha cha for him Britney Spears classic “I am a slave 4 U”. Paula describes the performance as a “dazzling mix of subtlety and fury”. Bruno Tonoli Thanks for all the content Pasha included in the routine. Carrie Ann raves that “everything” about the performance was perfect. Derek points out that it’s risky to dance alongside other professionals, but says Ariana did an “amazing” job. Ariana and Pasha’s rating: CarrieAnn = 9; Derek = 9; Paola = 10; and Bruno = 9. Total score = 37 out of 40.

Harry Jowsey AND Rylee Arnold tackles a jazz version of “It’s Gonna Be Me” by NSINC. Harry stumbles in some parts. Bruno says that “the synchronization was not always active”. Carrie Ann is also hard on Harry. Derek adds that “the presentation was a lot of fun,” but he wants to see “the connective tissue between the steps.” Paula tells Harry that she loves his “seriousness” and her “wit” week after week. Harry and Rylee Ratings: CarrieAnn = 6; Derek = 6; Paola = 6; and Bruno = 6. Total score = 24 out of 40.
Before music video night, Daniella Karagach he sprained his ankle. Koko Iwasaki intervene to help Jason Mraz practice. Jason and Daniella amaze with their jazz to the sound of “Take On Me” by AHA. Carrie Ann highlights the “toned down jazz version” of the routine and she admits she was “disappointed” with the performance. Derek agrees with Carrie Ann, saying that she seemed “kind of like last season’s ball.” However, he says Jason has “what it takes to go very far” in the competition. Alyson Hannigan AND Sasha Farber Join us for a fast and incredible step towards Cristina Aguilera “Sweet man.” Derek stands up and applauds Alyson’s performance. He says this is Alyson’s “best dance” yet. Paula tells Alyson that she couldn’t take her “eyes” off of her. “It was her best dance by far,” says Carrie Ann. Xochitl Gomez AND Val Chmerkovsky bring the fun with your jazz on “Hollaback Girl” by Gwen Stefani. Paula considers the partnership between Xóchitl and Val one of the most “provocative and surprising” of the season. Bruno says that Xóchitl is “very charismatic”, but he points out that he noticed the mistake with the hat. Carrie Ann says she noticed it too, but she loves the way Xochitl owned him and followed him. Derek calls the performance “brilliant,” but notes “a little disconnect” this week. Xochitl and Val scores: CarrieAnn = 9; Derek = 8; Paola = 9; and Bruno = 8. Total score = 34 out of 40.
Charity Lawson AND Artem Chigvintsev bring the boldness with your jazz on “All For You” by Janet Jackson. Carrie Ann acknowledges that Charity is a great dancer, but she admits that she “didn’t always believe it”. Derek agrees with Carrie Ann. Charity has “put it all together really well”, but wants to see “a little more energy” from her. Paula tells Charity that if she embraces her “power” more than her, she will be her own pioneer. Charity and Artem scores: CarrieAnn = 8; Derek = 8; Paola = 8; and Bruno = 8. Total score = 32 out of 40.
This is where the last double act of the evening comes from Barry Williams AND Peta Murgatroyd. They do a quick dance to “I’m Still Standing.” Elton John. Derek notices some stumbles, but loves watching Barry week after week. Paula calls Barry “a joy and a pleasure” to watch. Bruno notes that there were “a few mistakes”, but “Barry’s performances are always there for us to enjoy”. Barry and Peta’s scores: CarrieAnn = 7; Derek = 7; Paola = 7; and Bruno = 7. Total score = 28 out of 40.
Since Ariana and Pasha earned the highest scores of the night, they don’t need to compete at next week’s dance. Bonus points will also be added to your scores next week if you survive the elimination.
Team Young’n Style is the team’s first dance. Harry and Rylee, Lele and Brandon, Xochitl and Val, and Charity and Artem dance to “Gangnam Style” by PSI. Derek jumps out of his chair to hug Harry. He realized that Harry is not a soloist, but a team player. Paula says this was Harry’s “best performance”. Bruno declares it a “miracle” that Harry can move! Young’n Style team scores: CarrieAnn = 10; Derek = 10; Paola = 10; and Bruno = 10. Total score = 40 out of 40. The first perfect score of the season!
Team 4 They are all made up of Alyson and Sasha, Jason and Daniella, Ariana and Pasha, Barry and Peta. They dance to “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by Backstreet kids for team dance. Carrie Ann declares Alyson MVP of the dance. Derek points out that there were times at the dance where everyone on Team 4 was “much cleaner” than the other team. Scores of all team 4: CarrieAnn = 9; Derek = 9; Paola = 10; and Bruno = 9. Total score = 37 out of 40.
The last three couples remaining before elimination are Charity and Artem, Barry and Peta, Lele and Brandon. The couple returning home this week is… Lele and Brandon.
