Michael B. Jordan is developing a fantasy series based on the FOURTH WING THE EMPYREAN book series for Amazon

Amazon MGM Studios is partnering with Michael B. JordanOutlier Society to develop the writer Rebecca Yarros’fantasy book series The Empyreandeveloping his first title, Fourth wing, for television. Sources told Deadline that the acquisition occurred before the WGA strike, following a heated auction. Outlier will executive produce Fourth wing series as part of its overall deal with Amazon, signed in 2021.

EPs also include Yarros and Liz Pelletier for Entangled Publishing. If the adaptation proves to be a success, there is a possibility that each book in the Yarros series will be developed into its own separate television project. The second novel, Iron Flame, will be released on November 7.

The first book “introduces readers to the brutal world of Basgiath War College, where there is only one rule: graduate or die. Our twenty-year-old protagonist, Violet Sorrengail, expected to live a quiet life surrounded by books and history.
