AHSOKA star Eman Esfandi talks about playing the live-action version of Ezra Bridger

A video for Lucasfilm was recently released Star Wars: Ahsoka and features a co-star Eman Esfandi opening himself up to playing the live-action role of the fan favorite for the first time Star Wars character Ezra Bridger.

Ezra Bridger was first introduced to the Star Wars universe in Star Wars Rebels, and had a pretty epic story arc that saw him grow from something of an annoying sidekick character to a fan-favorite mature and powerful Jedi.

As fans are able to reconnect with Ahsoka’s character, we see that she has grown strong and confident while in exile on Peridea. He hasn’t seen much action in the series, but that will change as Ahsoka’s story and the rest of these stories continue.

Speaking about Ezra, Esfandi said: “I take Ezra Bridger as a real person, and he’s so smart, and he’s so gifted. He’s grown into himself so much more. “He’s become a much stronger Jedi, but even more so, is becoming more and more of a family member on his team and on the Rebels team.”

She continued, “I already felt so connected to Ezra and felt like he was there whenever I needed him. I felt that inspiration, but yeah, Ezra, little boy, with a lot of heart.”

I personally was hoping to see more from the character in the Ahsoka series and was a little disappointed with some of the creative choices, but there’s still time to do some really interesting things with the character before Dave Filoni wraps up this story.
