Marvel Studios is reportedly developing THOR 5 without Taika Waititi

We all knew Marvel Studios would eventually make a fifth Thor movie. After all, the end of Thor: Love and Thunder featured the tag “Thor Will Return”. Well, the scoop on the Marvel movie Daniele Richtmann is reporting it Thor5 is officially in development, but Taika Waititi he will not return to directing.

After how Thor: Love and Thunder It turns out I’m not surprised by this report. Wiatiti just went a little too far with the silliness of the film and it didn’t really work. So, Marvel is said to be actively looking for a new director to take on the project. It will be interesting to see who that ends up being, but we probably won’t know for a long time.

Waititi has drastically reinvented himself Thor with a vibrant and highly comical tone. Worked great with Thor: Ragnarok! There was a great balance between the drama and comedy of the story, but with Love and thunder, Waititi has lost his mojo. It just didn’t work. Sure, some fans liked it, but it really missed the mark and should have been a much better movie.

Waititi recently addressed complaints about this Thor: Love and Thunder‘s whimsical tone, saying, “Some viewers really appreciated the humorous part. Some viewers really wanted it to be just like the comics. But, you know, I always say, if you want it to be exactly like the comics, read the comic. You have to change the things here and there to make a movie out of.”

Thor: Love and Thunder sets the stage for the God of Thunder to clash with Hercules, a story that will be a lot of fun to explore and play with! Thor now also has a companion with Gorr’s daughter fighting alongside him.
