Karen Gillan and Chiwetel Ejiofor join Tom Hiddleston in Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of Stephen King’s THE LIFE OF CHUCK

Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep, The Fall of the House of Usher) is currently developing a Stephen King adaptation The Life of Chuckand some new cast members have been announced.

Tom Hiddleston AND Marco Hamill they had already been previously cast in the film, but will be added to them Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange), Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) AND Jacob Tremblay (Doctor Sleep).

The film is based on the short story from King’s 2020 anthology If it bleeds“The Life of Chuck consists of three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles Krantz in reverse, beginning with his death from a brain tumor at age 39 and ending with his childhood in a supposedly haunted house. “

According to the production, the project will draw inspiration from a tonal point of view Stand by Me, The Shawshank Redemption AND The green mile.

The film is currently in production in Alabama with an interim deal earlier this month. The film is produced by QWGmire, a production and financing company. Partner Molly C. Quinn, Matthew M. Welty AND Elan Galeshared in a statement: “We are thrilled to partner with Mike and Trevor [Macy] about this project. Mike is a master storyteller and we can’t wait to bring audiences his inspiring adaptation of Stephen King’s tale.”

I am very curious to see this film. I’m a huge fan of Stephen King and Flanagan, and with a cast like this, I have no doubt that the movie will end up being amazing!
