Director Ryan Johnson has made it clear that he is happy to continue making mysteries for his detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) as long as he has stories to tell. So as the Hollywood writers’ strike came to an end, Johnson went back to work on his next chapter, Knives out 3, or as he described his franchise, his upcoming “Benoit Blanc Mystery.” The stories began with Knives out in 2019, the story of a family fortune caught up in a murder mystery. He then moved to an island and a group of friends who reunite amidst secrets and lies that Blanc will have to unravel in the 2022 film. Glass Onion.
Johnson gave fans an update on the upcoming film in a recent interview with The Wrap, stating:
“Is coming. Obviously I couldn’t work during the strike, and now that it’s over I’m diving in full force, and so it’s coming. I have the premise, I have the setting, I have the movie in my head. It’s just a matter of writing the damn thing.
While this isn’t a lot of information, there’s no doubt that the upcoming film will also feature a stellar, star-studded cast, as well as a twisting plot with delightfully playful and entertaining dialogue to enjoy.
