Matthew Vaughn was present at New York Comic-Con last weekend and, in the panel dedicated to his upcoming projects, he teased several interesting films he has in the works, including a Kick ass reboot he has in the works, his next spy thriller Argyle, Kingman 3and a movie musical. In 2019, Vaughn produced the Elton John biopic Rocket manso he is no stranger to the genre.
The director explained:
“I’m actually doing a musical next year, I can’t talk about that. And it takes me so long to find a musical to do because the musical, like an action movie, is as good as an action or a movie. action.” comedy is as good as humor: a musical is as good as music, and Elton John’s catalog is pretty hard to beat, so I’m trying to match that, at least, and I think we’re almost there… it’s damn crazy but it’s fun.”
I love movie musicals. I’ll watch everyone that comes out and probably enjoy it, so I’m looking forward to hearing more about what it will be. Stay tuned for information on this mysterious project.
