In today’s news things I thought I would never see, martial arts master and overall badass Chuck Norris is collaborating with the ’90s pop star Vanilla ice cream in a secret agent zombie film project titled Zombie plane. They will be joined by the Australian singer-turned-actress Sofia Monaco.
This whole thing seems absolutely crazy, it’s like an April Fool’s joke, but it’s real! The project comes from Australian production and distribution company Radioactive and US production company Entertainment Squad.
Zombie Plane centers on “a secret government organization that recruits celebrities as undercover agents, who together must save humanity from an imminent zombie attack. Norris, Ice and Monk play themselves (in reality, Norris plays Commander Chuck Norris, who mentored and trained Ice to become a deadly secret agent), but the film is reportedly full of celebrity cameos, with a ’90s pop soundtrack featuring songs by Ice himself. .”
Well, it just looks wonderful. This movie looks like it has all the makings of something absolutely bonkers and I can’t wait to watch it!
Radioactive producer and CEO Jessica Butland said in a statement: “Audiences can expect a wild ride. Vanilla Ice is in her element as a secret agent and Chuck Norris, having trained him, is excellent and it works”.
Executive producer and founder of Entertainment Squad Berenson shaken (Turbo Kid, Halloween Tales) added: “Zombie Plane uses comedy, the zombie genre and ’90s nostalgia as a vehicle, to comment on pop culture as much as it fuels it, creating unforgettable jokes and situational comedy ‘to the extreme.'”
The film will be directed by Lav Bodnaruk AND Michele Pier by Chop Shop Post, a post-production and VFX house that worked on Paramount+ Last King of the Cross and that of Amazon Trope. The film was shot earlier this year.
