There has been a lot of talk about it for a long time Jason Momoa be chosen as Lobo. However, in a recent report regarding Momoa not returning to the role of Aquaman after the upcoming sequel, it was pointed out that he was in talks to play Lobo instead. The report states that the character could be a part of it James Gunn’S Superman: Legacy film coming in 2025.
Industry insider Jeff Sneider confirmed on a recent episode of The Hot Mic podcast that Momoa has been cast as Lobo and that DC Studios will make an official announcement in early 2024. He said:
“It’s true: Jason Momoa is Lobo. Done. Jason Momoa has been cast as Lobo, and will most likely be officially announced… I’d say around February. He has nothing to do with the strike: he has to do with Aquaman. So Aquaman will have to go to theaters, and then it’ll be on Max… after it’s on Max and it plays for a week or two on Max or whatever, I think in February – maybe March at the latest – you’ll see it. an announcement about Momoa as Lobo, especially if he is part of the Superman cast.
Momoa is perfect for this role and is a DC character that seems to fit the Aquaman actor better. He is also a character that many fans have been excited to see the actor play. Well, it looks like it’s actually going to happen.

Known for his brutal and violent nature, he single-handedly exterminated his entire race for a scientific experiment and has since become one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy. His brash attitude, love of heavy weapons and characteristic catchphrase “The Main Man”. Despite his often malicious actions, Lobo operates by a personal code of honor, keeping his word once given and always fulfilling his contracts.
