Loki season two began on Disney+ last week and created a wild and entertaining story involving Loki dealing with the madness of Time-Slipping. I liked the first episode! A fun little Easter egg that ties into the Marvel one was also pointed out Knight of the Moon series.
In the opening of the first episode of Loki season 2, the god of mischief is chased across the TVA and finds himself escaping in a bright yellow flying car. The car ends up crashing into the TVA and the character Casey takes off his headphones. In the Disney+ version of the episode, Casey is listening to audio that he claims to “calm your mind and relax.”
But there’s a clip of the episode you can watch on YouTube that was released before the season premiere, and the audio is very different. In that clip we hear: “Solving puzzles is a great way to keep your mind…”
Well, it looks like Casey is listening to the same podcast that Steven Grant is listening to in Moon Knight. The character listens to the puzzle-solving version of the audio to stay awake.
I’m not sure why the final cut of the episode was changed from the released clip, but the showrunners of Loki season 2 Justin Benson AND Aaron Moorhead he directed two episodes of Moon Knight, so I guess they were just having a little fun.
Regardless, the first episode of Loki Season two brought to life some great plot threads that I can’t wait to see develop over the course of the season.
