Tokyo cowboy is a small independent film that has just started making the rounds at film festivals and will have its world premiere as a centerpiece gala screening at the Tallgrass Film Festival. In anticipation of that premiere, a clip has been released offering a first look at the film.

Tokyo cowboy comes from the director and producer Marco Marriott and is produced by Brigham Taylor (The Jungle Book, Christopher Robin, Tomorrowland). In full disclosure, GeekTyrant’s three partners, including myself, are executive producers on the film, and we’re really excited that it’s making the festival rounds right now! It’s really a wonderful little film that we think audiences will enjoy.

In the film, “Bold businessman Hideki arrives in Montana after convincing his bosses in Tokyo that he can turn a profitless U.S. ranch into a top-performing asset. However, when his burger-loving Japanese Wagyu meat expert Hardee disappoints him, Hideki is poised to fail magnificently unless he identifies a missing element that is the key to the transformation… himself.

Tokyo Cowboy was written by Dave Boyle and Ayako Fujitani. The cast includes Arata Iura, Goya Robles, Ayako Fujitani, Robin WeigertAND Jun Kunimura.

The film will premiere at the Tallgrass Film Festival on October 7, followed by screenings at the Heartland International Film Festival, Montana Film Festival, Hawaii International Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival and Ojai Film Festival.

If you attend one of these festivals, be sure to check them out Tokyo cowboy!
