Marvel fans weren’t too happy with the Secret invasion series as a whole, and even those who mostly liked it said the ending wasn’t what they hoped it would be, so it’s fun to hear that a piece of that story might end up being incorporated into the future of the MCU. Emilia Clarke she played Talos’ daughter G’iah, who powered up in the final episode to become a formidable “Super Skrull”, displaying the abilities of various other MCU heroes.
At the end of the finale, G’iah is recruited by senior MI6 agent Sonya Falsworth, so it makes sense to assume that there are plans for the character in the MCU in the future.
Now, scooper MTTSH (via CBM) claims that G’iah will indeed return as the leader of his own team of Britain-based heroes. There have been several British supergroups in comics over the years, including the mystical Excalibur led by Captain Britain, but a version of The Union is a more likely possibility.
Formed in 2020, this team features a roster that includes Britannia, Kelpie, The Choir, Snakes, Bulldog, and a modern incarnation of the Union Jack, which was a cloak held by Sonya’s (alleged) ancestor James Montgomery Falsworth.
It’s just rumors for now, of course, but there have been rumors for a while about a Marvel Studios project that would spotlight a team of British characters, so it makes sense. Check out the post revealing the rumor below and let us know what you think:
