Awesome trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s action spy thriller ARGYLLE!

Apple TV+ has released a full director’s trailer Matthew Vaughnis the highly anticipated spy thriller Argyle, and this is going to be a great action-packed movie! It looks like Argylle is going to be a blast and I loved this trailer! If you’ve always wanted to see Henry Cavill like a real James Bond character, this movie will give it to you!

The film features a stellar cast that includes Cavill, Bruce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, John Cena, Dua Lipa, Bryan Cranston, Sofia Boutella, Ariana DeBose, Catherine O’HaraAND Samuel L. Jackson. The cat in the film, Aflie, is played by Chip, Vaughn’s pet cat.

The trailer shows off a lot of great footage that teases the film’s story and introduces us to all of the story’s major players except one, who seems to be primed for a big surprise reveal in the film. Here is the synopsis:

Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling spy novels, whose idea of happiness is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books, centering on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate, begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.

Accompanied by Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a spy allergic to cats, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of assassins as the lines between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begin to blur.

The film was originally marketed as an adaptation of a spy novel of the same name by a named author Ellie Conway. That novel, however, isn’t real and the creative team was simply having fun with a bit of marketing. The fictional author of the book is who Howard plays in the film.

This is said to be the first of at least three films in the series and is set in America, London and several locations around the world.

Jason Fuchs he wrote the screenplay and is producing it alongside Vaughn’s regular collaborators Adam Bohling AND David Reid. Vaughn previously said: “When I read this first draft manuscript, I thought it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Flemingbooks from the 1950s. This will reinvent the spy genre.

Argyle will be released in theaters on February 2, 2024.
