THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Director Marc Webb Set to Direct Bermuda Triangle Action-Adventure Film

Marc Webbthe director of (500 days of summer AND The Extraordinary Spider-Man film, will direct an action-adventure film about the Bermuda Triangle, Bermuda.

This project has been in development for years at Skydance Entertainment and was at one point developed by the director of the Spider-Man trilogy Sam Raimi. When he ended up abandoning the project Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson jumped on board. This also didn’t work out in the end.

Oh and Ryan Reynolds he was also supposed to star in the film at some point in the project’s long development, and Chris Evans he was also in talks to star in the project. I doubt either of them will end up in the draft at this point.

After several years of trying to get this film into production, perhaps Webb will be the director to actually make it happen. At the moment, no new writers have been hired due to the writers’ strike. The report says that once the strike ends and a writer can be assigned, Webb will consult on the script but he is not expected to co-write.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the report states that the story “will be set in that mysterious area of the Caribbean where planes and ships have disappeared over the years.”

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg AND Don Granger will produce Bermuda for Skydance.
