Fantastic trailer for the hilarious second season of the pirate comedy MAX. OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH

A great new trailer has been released to get us pumped up for MAX’s hilarious and ridiculous season 2 pirate comedy series Our flag means death. The show welcomes back the producer and actor Taika Waititiwho stars in the series as Blackbeard the pirate, and joins him Rhys Darby as Stede Bonnet. Other returning stars include Nathan Foad, Samson Kayo, Vico Ortiz, Ewen Bremner, Joel Fry, Matt Maher, Kristian Nairn, Con O’Neill, Guz Khan, David Fane, Rory Kinnear, Samba Schutte, Nat Faxon, Fred Armisen AND Leslie Jones.

Season 2 picks up after Stede (Rhys Darby) and Blackbeard (Taika Waititi) essentially broke up, as Blackbeard felt abandoned and Stede and the Revenge crew were left to their own devices. Now, Stede and Blackbeard must face their pain and find their way again. Of course, it won’t be smooth sailing and the duo will still have other pirate-related tasks to take care of. Stede continues his quest to become the gentleman pirate, focusing on a less violent approach. Meanwhile, Blackbeard still seems to maintain his fearsome reputation despite everything.

Creator of the series David Jenkins says this chapter of the series will be the second of three if MAX is kind enough to renew the series for another season.

Our flag means death Season 2 arrives on MAX on Thursday, October 5, with the release of its first three episodes. Subsequent episodes will release weekly in pairs until the season finale on October 26. Check out the new trailer and poster below and let us know if you can’t wait to watch it.
