The star of Captain Marvel Brie Larson has a new series coming out called Chemistry lessonsand Apple TV+ has released the first trailer. The film centers on an aspiring scientist and chemist whose life journey takes her in an interesting direction when she ends up becoming a cooking show host instead.
The film is based on Bonnie Garmus’ bestselling debut novel, Chemistry lessons and Larson plays the role of Elizabeth Zott, a prodigious chemist “whose dream of becoming a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society.” After being fired she is given the opportunity to showcase her culinary talents on a TV show.
The story is set in the early 1950s, and with her newfound fame as a cooking show host, Elizabeth “sets out to teach a nation of neglected housewives – and the men who are suddenly listening – much more than recipes” .
The eight-episode limited series also stars Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: nonconformist), Aja Naomi King (How to get away with murder), AND Stephanie Koenig (The offer).
Chemistry Lessons will be released on Apple TV Plus on October 13th.
