Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have released the official launch trailer for Mortal Combat 1, and unleash the bloody and violent fury the game will deliver. The trailer also offers a first look at the gameplay of Shang Tsung and Reiko.
It was also announced that the game will feature a wide range of accessibility options, including descriptive audio for the on-screen action.
The new video presents a first look at the story and gameplay elements of Shang Tsung and his disturbing destiny in the reborn Mortal Kombat universe created by the fire god Liu Kang. The intriguing sorcerer’s moves are on full display, including his fireball projectiles, devastating combos, and signature ability to transform into rival fighters. The trailer also showcases gameplay of General Shao’s second-in-command, Reiko, the wild warrior with a fighting style that matches her ferocious personality, as well as highlights of the other fighters on the launch roster.
Accessibility options
Additionally, Mortal Kombat 1 will feature a wide range of accessibility options for players, including audio descriptions and cues for on-screen action that plays contextually throughout the game. For the complete list, click here.

Other characters in the game include Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage and more. Jean claude van damme will be present in the game as an alternative skin for the character Johnny Cage. Then, there is Megan Foxwho will play Nitara.
Mortal Combat 1 will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on September 19th.
