Back to the Future meet The Last Girls in the first trailer for Blumhouse and Prime Video’s 1980s-set time travel slasher film titled Totally killer. Movie stars Sabrina‘S Kiernan Shipka and it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun! This will be a great movie to watch during the Halloween season! The film will be full of blood, gore and knowing humor.
The official synopsis reads: “Thirty-five years after the shocking murders of three teenagers, the infamous ‘Sweet Sixteen Killer’ returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. Seventeen-year-old Jamie (Shipka) ignores her overprotective mother’s thoughts (Julie Bowen) warning and comes face to face with the masked maniac and, fleeing for his life, accidentally time travels to 1987, the year of the original murders. Forced to navigate the unfamiliar and outrageous culture of the ’80s, Jamie teams up with her teenage mom (Olivia Holt) to defeat the killer once and for all, before she is stuck in the past forever.”
The film was directed by Nahnatchka Khan (Just landed, always be my maybe) from a screenplay by David Matalon, Sasha Perl RaverAND Jen D’Angelo. It’s also in the cast Charlie Gillespie, Lochlyn Munro, Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson, Stephi Chin-Salvo, Anna Diaz, Jeremy Monn-Djasgnar, Ella Choi, Kelcey Mawema, Liana Liberato, Nathanael Appia, Jonathan PottsAND Randall Parks.
The film is rated R for “gory violence, language, sexual material and teen drug/alcohol use.” It will release on Prime Video on October 6, 2023. Just in time, ring in the spirit of Halloween!
