Tim Burton on his “back to basics” approach to making BEETLEJUICE 2; It’s like “going back to why I liked making movies”

Tim Burton is a much loved director who has given us plenty of funny, dark and wild stories over the years with great characters, narratives and soundtracks from his creative musical partner, Danny Elfman. The pair are reuniting to bring us the highly anticipated sequel, Beetle juice 2and Burton provided a little update on how he’s approaching this film.

In a new interview with Independent, Burton said:

“Honestly, I don’t really know, because I’m not all that good at talking or trying to sell anything, so to speak. Looking back, it’s a very, very strange journey that I can’t quite explain. “Because it’s hard for me watch the films afterwards, because I still feel the emotion. I can’t get away from this. But I like all the people I’ve worked with. On the latter, Beetlejuice 2, I really liked it. I tried to strip away everything and go back to the basics of working with good people, actors and puppets. It was kind of like going back to why I liked making films.”

Looks like he’s following the formula fans will be happiest with!

Movie stars Michael Keatonwho returns to play the role of Ghost with the Most, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, Jenna Ortega like his daughter, Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz, Justin Theroux (Leftovers) e Monica Bellucci (Irreversible, Spectrum, The apartment) as Beetlejuice’s wife in the story.
