THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER director breaks down the latest trailer in a new video

A terrifying new trailer for The Exorcist: Believer debuted recently and horror fans seem pretty excited about this movie. I’m mostly curious to see if the film will deliver the same level of petrifying fear as the original film.

Fandango has released a new video linked to the film featuring the director David Gordon Green analyzing the trailer and offering some additional interesting insights into the film.

Gordon Green talks about the return of Ellen Burstyn and Linda Blair’s role as a consultant on the production. She also offers insights into the film’s makeup effects, themes and use of the iconic melody.

It’s explained The Exorcist: Believer it’s centered around the idea of ​​what Gordon Green calls “synchronized possessions” and also says it’s about both “community” and “life-changing choices.”

The next chapter of the story tells the terrifying tale of demonic possession of two young girls who become possessed at the same time. It looks like this will deliver some bone-chilling terror that horror fans will love.

Here is the synopsis of the film:

Since the death of his pregnant wife in a Haitian earthquake 12 years ago, Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom Jr.; One Night in Miami, Hamilton) raised their daughter, Angela (Lidya JewettGood Girls) alone.

But when Angela and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum), disappear into the woods, only to return three days later with no memory of what happened, sets off a chain of events that will force Victor to face the lowest point of evil and, in his terror and desperation, to search for the only person alive who has witnessed something similar before: Chris MacNeil.
