Michael Fassbender plays an exasperated soccer coach in the NEXT GOAL WINS clip

A new clip from the sports dramedy has been released The next goal winshero Michael Fassbender, Elizabeth Moss, Oscar Kightley, Uli Latukefu, Rachel’s house, Kaimana, David Fane, Beulah Koale, Chris Alosio, Taika Waititi, Will ArnettAND Rhys Darby. Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit) is also directing the film and the screenplay, based on a 2014 documentary of the same name by Mike Brett AND Steve Jamisonwas co-written by Waititi and Ian Morris.

The synopsis of the film reads:

“Directed by Oscar winner Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok), Next Goal Wins follows the American Samoa soccer team, infamous for their brutal 31-0 defeat to FIFA in 2001,” reads the official synopsis. “As World Cup qualifying approaches, the team hires maverick, hapless coach Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender) hoping he can turn around the worst soccer team in the world in this heartfelt underdog comedy.”

This looks like a great family film that anyone could watch and enjoy. I love a good sports movie and there’s nothing better than being based on a true story. Watch the clip from below and see The next goal wins in theaters November 17, 2023.
