A teaser trailer for the drama has been released Burn salt as a writer and director Emerald Fennel in his second film after the 2020 success Hopeful young woman. “Set in the mid-2000s, this twisted drama follows Oxford University student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), who finds himself intrigued by the world of his contemporary aristocrat, Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi). Felix then invites Oliver to Saltburn, his family’s luxury estate, where they spend “an unforgettable summer” together.
Besides Keoghan and Elordi, the cast includes Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alice Oliver, Ewan Mitchell, Archie Madekwe, Lolly Adefie, Reece Shearsmith, Paul Rhys AND Carey Mulliganstar of Fennell’s directorial debut, Hopeful young woman.
Burn salt will open the 67th BFI London Film Festival on 4 October at the Royal Festival Hall at London’s Southbank Centre. Amazon Studios and MGM will release Burn salt in select theaters on Nov. 24 before expanding widely on Dec. 1. Check out the teaser trailer below:
