Teaser Trailer of FERRARI by director Michael Mann and Adam Driver

Neon has released the first directorial trailer Michael Mann’S Ferrari, which has been a longtime passion project for the director. Mann is a talented filmmaker and storyteller who has made some great films throughout his career and this one will be no exception.

Adam Driver stars in the film as the Italian sports car entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari, with whom he joins Penelope Cruz as Ferrari’s wife, Laura Ferrari e Shailene Woodley as his lover Lina Lardi. The film is also the protagonist Patrick Dempsey as fellow racing driver Piero Taruffi, Jack O’Connell as pilot Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian e Gabriel Leo as the chauffeur Alfonso de Portago.

In the film “It’s the summer of 1957. Behind the spectacle of Formula 1, the former driver Enzo Ferrari is in crisis. Bankruptcy threatens the factory he and his wife Laura had built from scratch ten years earlier. Their volatile marriage was strained by the loss of their son Dino a year earlier. Ferrari struggles to recognize the son Piero had by Lina Lardi. Meanwhile, its drivers’ passion for victory pushes them to the limit as they embark on the perilous 1,000-mile race through Italy, the Mille Miglia.

Mann made this film with no ties to major studios, which he is proud of, and said, “The origins of the film, the content of the script and the film you have seen do not fit the type of film that would be embraced by conventional studio system.It is very appropriate that this is an independent film distributed by Neon, a very independent distributor.

The film was adapted by Mann and the late Troy Kennedy-Martin from Brock Yate’s 1991 biography “Enzo Ferrari — The Man, The Cars, The Races, The Machine.” The film will be released at Christmas. Enjoy the trailer!
