Apple TV+ has released another creepy trailer for LaKeith Stanfield AND Clark Backo’S dark fantasy horror folklore series Change. This is an inside look that not only features new footage from the series, but also features Stanfield and Backo talking about the show and offering insights into the story and teasing some unexpected twists. I love the whole feel of this show and can’t wait to dive right in and watch this haunting story unfold.
The series is based on Victor LaValle’s best-selling novel of the same name and the story is described as “a coming-of-age tale, a horror story, a parenting fable, and a dangerous odyssey through New York City.” you didn’t know it existed.”
The story follows Apollo and Emma and their romance is a fairy tale…until Emma mysteriously disappears. Apollo then finds himself on “a death-defying odyssey through a New York City he never knew existed.” The whole nightmarish journey begins when Emma meets an old woman in a Brazilian lagoon and the old woman grants her three wishes.
The eight-part series also stars Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamsonand special guest star Malcolm Barrett.
The Changeling is written and adapted by the showrunner and executive producer Kelly Marceland the pilot episode was directed by Melina Matsoukas. The series will debut the first three episodes on Friday, September 8, 2023 on Apple TV+.
